ICCAS: Prof. Melzer and 3 ICCAS researchers at iSMIT

At the 32nd "Conference of the international Society for Medical Innovation and Technology (iSMIT)", which takes place online from December 3 - 10, 2020, Prof. Andreas Melzer is integrated into the scientific program as a guest speaker. On December 10th he will give an invited talk on MRgFUS technology. In addition, he opened the session on future perspectives of robotic surgery with a lecture on the life's work of John Wickam - "the godfather of robotic surgery". Three other ICCAS contributions come from scientists Denis Gholami Bajestani, Martin Reich and Michael Unger. The former will present his research on the development of in vitro vascular phantoms for MRI-guided interventions. Martin Reich's contribution relates to the development of an intuitive and practical facility for in-room control during MRI-guided interventions. Michael Unger presents his research work on robot-assisted ultrasound-controlled tracking of anatomical structures for the application of focused ultrasound.
