EuProNet start-up financing – new round of tenders open in 2024

The Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK) and its European and international funding partners of the new funding partnership in the field of personalized medicine (EP PerMed) have published the Call 2024.

This is the first joint transnational call (JTC2024) on the topic “Identification or validation of targets for personalized medicine approaches (PMTargets)”. A total of 39 funding organizations are participating in this call for proposals with an available budget of over €45 million.

Scientists from Saxon universities, research institutions and companies are invited to submit their project outlines online by March 5, 2024. The consortium must consist of at least 3 applicants from at least 3 of the countries participating in the call.

The assessment takes place in two stages.

Funding for successful projects at Saxon universities, colleges and research institutions will take place from the end of 2024/beginning of 2025 via the EuProNet funding guideline. Successful projects from Saxon companies are supported through ERDF/JTF technology funding.

The SMWK is open to projects in all areas of the call.

About EP PerMed

The newly launched European Partnership for Personalized Medicine (EP PerMed) aims to improve future healthcare for all citizens through personalized therapy, diagnosis and prevention. With a total budget of around EUR 375 million, provided by the EU and more than 50 international partners - including the SMWK - EP PerMed will not only support the transnational development of personalized medicine approaches over the next ten years, but also their successful implementation significantly support clinical practice.
